Finally able to use up our non-refundable Tokyo roundtrip tickets for Nov 2022 (next month)!
We’re pretty keen on the cities and prefectures we want to visit (especially the day-trips), but currently having trouble deciding on which JR pass to get for this particular itinerary. Would love to hear your feedback and insights on this.
Note: We’ve actually been around Tokyo and Kyoto before, so this itinerary is more of a nostalgic looking-back of sorts and exploring other places with the day trips.

• Arrive Narita Airport, Skyliner to Ueno station
• Check-in overnight, dinner and light exploring around the area before turning in
Day 2 (Kyoto)
• Shinkansen to Kyoto station, Check-in Richmond Kyoto,
• Arashiyama
• Kiyomizu-dera Temple Autumn Illumination
Day 3 (Nara, Inari, Gion)
• Nara Park
• Todai-ji Temple

Day 4 (Tokyo)
• Check-out and Shinkansen to Tokyo

• cafe hopping/photowalks/stroll through Shibuya, Ebisu, Naka-Meguro

Main question/need advice on: would a 7-day JR pass suit this itinerary? We’re hoping for a pass that we could use not just for the shinkansen, but perhaps for going around Kyoto/Nara and our day-trips around Tokyo.
