  1. Omoide Yokocho is located in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Originally formed as a black market after the second world war, the yokocho is now a small strip of food and drink.
    The yokocho is charismatic and juxtaposed from the modern feel of Tokyo, and a perfect encapsulation of the term ‘organised chaos’.
    When looking at this picture, try to imagine the overwhelming smell of hot fresh food, and the constant flow of people in a crowded, yet ordered space.

  2. Love your photo! Thanks for sharing. I love this area of Tokyo because it has a bit of a traditional small town feeling in the middle of the bustling metropolis. The framing is great! Only minor point is the man has an odd look on his face, like he didn’t want to be photographed. Other than that, it’s a great photo.
