Hi,
We are looking to be in Japan mid March. For my kids, this will be their first time, but my wife and I have been across the country (Nikko – Tokyo – Kyoto – Osaka – Kobe – Horishima – Miyajima) 15 years ago; so trying to find an itinerary that balances new places for the adults while the kids see Japan for the first time.
While not as late as we’d like, I am hoping to catch the Cherry blossoms. Do you think we’d be able to see cherry blossoms at Yoshinoyama around March 20-23rd? Or is that too early (know it’s hard to time) Is it worth the trip?
Thanks!

Yoshinoyama is generally an April thing to do.
Yoshinoyama is a lot of uphill walking even with the ropeways. I would not recommend it with kids or folks that can’t go 10k+ steps per day.
Also mid March is not going to be great for there.
