For those who don’t want to watch the video: there are abandoned houses for sale in the countryside for cheap. One town arranged for a single mom with two kids to get a job and a drivers license when she moved out there.
If making up slogans with sweet keywords were effective against depopulation, Japan would probably have been the most successful at it.
Edit: what I mean is that, countries who are successful at this problem all did what Japanese have been refusing. (But I don’t say what because I don’t want to upset you guys.)
It’s definitely better than not doing anything at all but not much can be done about depopulation at this stage.
Also, not sure about accepting a lot of immigrants because most of Europe has been stagnating pretty badly after the GFC even though they accepted a large number of migrants.
I think the best option is to change all of the required systems to successfully support the reducing population while still keeping the nation as competitive as possible.
