Tax-Free Items

I bought some clothes from GU and unlike some of the other items that are supposedly tax-free, they didn’t seal it. Is it okay if if I wear these, or will I be fined with the consumption tax? (Other items I bought that were sealed says that I can’t open it or I might be subject to consumption tax)

  1. Only consumable items are sealed as those cannot be consumed in Japan and need to be exported within 30 days.

    Non-consumable items can be used in Japan as long as they are exported within 6 months.
