Getting to Kamakura from Fujikawaguchiko

I’m Planning a trip to the Tokyo area of Japan April 28 – May 12. During the second half of our trip we would like to go to more nature/country side stuff. We were thinking going to Fujikawaguchiko for a few days and then finish off in Kamakura for a few days and maybe adding in Hokone between the two. I’m seeing on Google maps that it’s nearly 4 hours to go from Fujikawaguchiko to Kamakura on transit, but only 1hr 45min driving. I know there are some private tour buses going to Fujikawaguchiko from shibuya, are there any private tour busses going to Kamakura from Fujikawaguchiko? I realize it would be expensive, but how easy would it be to get a taxi on the JapanTaxi app or hire a driver to to take us there?

  1. It takes time because there is not reason any direct train between the tho and bus usually connect main hub to more rural area, not between rural area.

You can take a 2h bus to Shinjuku then 1h on Shonan Shinjuku line to Kamakura.

Not worth the fortune it would cost on taxi .
