  1. For those that have had real wasabi, it had all of the fruitiness with maybe 5% of the spice. Semi crunchy like sautéed greed onions.

    Very hard to find wasabi with the stems from my time there. Fmu, they are all bought to make fake wasabi, but be able to say it has real wasabi in it.

  2. Even the train stations have the coolest damn pottery. I will go broke buying dinnerware if I ever go to Japan.

  3. Years ago I had a really delightful hiyayakko with maybe braised wasabi stems on top at an izakaya near the Shibuya crossing. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. It’s still the only time I’ve had wasabi stems.
