I’ve recently seen 一度読んだら絶対に忘れない日本史の教科書 recommended here. I’ve read first 20 pages available for free and liked the teaching method and comprehensiveness, but the full version could only be bought, and sadly this is out of the question for technical reasons. So maybe you have seen or read interesting books, or even more preferably textbooks, about japanese history which you can recommend?
