Ok I’m learning Japanese and found something interesting. So I was watching a video on YouTube about the origins of Karate. The video host stated that Karate was called 唐手 but changed to Karate. I realized in my studies that fried chicken is be 唐揚げ which can be pronounced Tou age and kara age. Is this an error on the app I’m using or are these words all related somehow?
