  1. Hello!! Here to give ya some guidance! uwu

Day 1-6: Recommend you stay at this hotel called Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel, a good and new 4* hotel that you can get for pretty cheap price on booking.com. So ya can spend more on food!

For an authentic sushi experience, would recommend Sushi Yuu (Nishiazabu) for a great foreigner friendly omakase experience, roughly 20000¥ each, do note you gotto book in advance! The chef speaks good english and is very friendly.

For the mt fuji day trip, FYI if you plan on travelling there by train, you may have to top up a little as the JR PASS does not cover fully due to private railway lines the train runs on, on the way there.

For Day 5: you can do Tokyo Skytree as well as they are all in the same area! Asakusa and skytree can be done in the morning, akihabara in the afternoon, perhaps you can consider booking Sushi Yuu for the evening, roppongi is the area Sushi Yuu is in, so theres much to explore the night life there.

  2. What do you actually want to do? You have a lot of empty space so this doesn’t really give people an idea of what’s actually interesting for you – you’re doing some big round trips (Mt. Fuji…where?, Shirakawa-Go) but for Shirakawa-Go, what’s drawing you there?

  3. Minoo park will take a few hours, not a full day. Make sure you eat the deep fried maple leaves 👍

  4. and er honestly, no offence but day 6-15 looks like a disaster in planning. Nara is closer to kyoto and shirakawago is gna be such a waste, daylight isnt going to be very long and you’re gonna waste so much time. it might even take up to 8hours in total with all the transfers. My recommendation for you instead.

Day 6: Take the hokuriku shinkansen and go up to kanazawa before switching to limited express to Takayama and find a hotel there (many avail)

Day 7: Visit Takayama old town in morning
Then do a trip to shirakawago from there, many buses available

Day 8: Take the limited express from Takayama to Kyoto and u can explore the areas around yr hotel or nightlife

Day 9: Visit Gion, Kiyomizudera, Golden Pavillion, fushimi inari etc. Up to u so many historical sites

Day 10: Day Trip to Nara ( Very close by train)

Day 11: Head over to Osaka by Tokaido shinkansen
    Explore dotonburi at night

Day 12: Visit kuromon market in the morning then proceed to minoh park for the day trip

    Day 13: Universal studios osaka

Day 14: Hmm i dont really know your interests but perhaps if u like to try kobe beef? maybe take a day trip to kobe via shinkansen?

    cheers mate enjoy your trip

  5. Makes no sense to go to Shirakawago for a day trip from Kyoto/Osaka. Add that day to continue exploring Kyoto. I’d also suggest doing the Arashiyama Sightseeing Train and Riverboat ride instead of Minoh Falls.

    – Day 1: Arrive Tokyo
    – Day 2-6: Explore Tokyo and Fuji Day Trip. Check the weather and go to Fuji on the best day.
    – Day 7: Travel to Kyoto. I recommend staying in the [Higashiyama District](https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3959.html) as you’ll be walking distance to so many of the key sites and lots of great restaurants. Drop bags at the hotel after arriving and spend your first afternoon /evening exploring the area. In [autumn some places in Kyoto have evening illuminations too.](https://www.timeout.com/tokyo/news/temples-and-shrines-in-kyoto-are-holding-evening-illuminations-this-autumn-101321)
    – Day 8-9: Explore Kyoto. No need to recreate the wheel here. [Use some of these sample itineraries as a guide so as they put things in logical order geographically.](https://www.insidekyoto.com/kyoto-itineraries)
    – Day 10: Use this as an additional sightseeing day in Kyoto or, if the weather is good, perhaps do the [Arashiyama Scenic Train and Railway.](https://www.reddit.com/r/JapanTravel/comments/mibm8t/kyoto_sagano_scenic_train_hozugawa_riverboat/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) You could move this to one of your other Kyoto days if needed based on weather.
    – Day 11: Checkout of Kyoto hotel and travel to Nara. [Store luggage in lockers at Nara Station.](https://www.narastation.com/lockers-luggage-storage-at-the-nara-stations/) Proceed on to explore Nara as day trip. Google for sample day trip itineraries but don’t miss out on [Kasuga Taisha.](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xiZGNCZ1md4fgU1r5?g_st=ic) Pay to go in the inner shrine area to see a room with the lanterns lit up. Collect luggage at station and continue on to Osaka to checkin to your hotel.
    – Day 12-14: Osaka and USJ
    – Day 15: Fly home

In Osaka, I’d recommend staying near Dotonbori/Namba as you’ll be near the lit up signs (Glico Man) at night, tons of restaurants, and covered shopping streets. Here’s some places we really enjoyed while there. Osaka it’s just fun to wander and eat your way down all the covered shopping arcades so if it’s rainy or very cold weather head to the shopping arcades or the aquarium on that day.

    In Osaka:
    – [Senkoji: Heaven and Hell Temple](https://soranews24.com/2021/12/16/senkoji-the-japanese-temple-thats-more-like-a-theme-park-to-heaven-and-hell/)
    – [Save Cat Rescue Cafe (good for cold/rainy day)](https://maps.app.goo.gl/DCCLbRcT47JP2tcw9?g_st=ic)
    – [Silver Ball Planet (Pinball Arcade)](https://maps.app.goo.gl/sbTkovgEMmhUi7mM9?g_st=ic)
    – [PC and Retro Bar Space Station](https://maps.app.goo.gl/c2kSRGF8YaGoPrPB8?g_st=ic)
    – [TNT Craft Beer Pub](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Df1oX3dgqcPznWF3A?g_st=ic)
    – [Moonshine Karaoke Bar](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yxdMejQEfN1Zeuzz6?g_st=ic)

    Happy Planning!

  6. Note about Shirakawa-go: it’s not 6 hours to travel back and forth – it’s over 8 hours on train and bus (around 4 hours each way). It’s… well, it’s doable and not as far-fetched, although you may consider staying for a day in Kanazawa or Takayama afterwards to make it somewhat less painful.

Now, I’m not going to dissuade you, if you really, really want to do it, but if you want to see picturesque, rural Japan – there is another option if you are willing to rent a car and tread on slow, narrow roads north of Kyoto – a two day trip that would consist of [Miyama](https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3985.html), Amanohashidate and [Ine](https://www.japan.travel/en/spot/1120/) is not a bad idea.
