Japan Spring 2023 Itinerary HELP

We’re FINALLY travelling as a family after 12 years and we’re super excited but very anxious/nervous about our plans. We’ve already booked the hotel and flight tickets for a 10 day ~~short, I know~~ stay in Tokyo > Hakone > Kyoto + Nara. Flying in to Haneda and leaving at Kansai International Airport.

We’ve kinda drafted out and even planned the route we’re supposed to go (Google mapping location to location to see if the travel flow is smooth, rough timing of when our day should start, etc.) and would REALLY like some advise or guidance about whether or not there’s too much going on in a day or too little:

\> Hozugawa Boat River Ride OR Hang out @ Kameoka and take train back
ROUTE 2: Togetsu-kyo Bridge / Sagano (Shopping + food) Shrines/Temples

OPTION 1: Togetsu-kyo Bridge > Lunch @ Arashiyama Yoshimura (because I heard food here is average or overpriced so we don’t mind going back to central Kyoto)
OPTION 2: Togetsu-kyo Bridge > Gion District > Maruyama Park > Yasaka Shrine > Nishiki Market *OR* Downtown Kyoto

**AM – Day starts at 6:30AM**
Arrive 7:00AM Kiyomizudera
Arrive 10:00AM Nishiki Market
**PM** Hang around Kyoto Station *OR* Travel to Kansai International Airport for 11pm flight (and hang around the area)
