Going back to work part time and maternity pay

I’m wondering if anyone can tell me or link me to how much money (if any) we can earn while on paid maternity leave (actually childcare leave)

Thinking about going back to work part time when baby is 7-8 months old as I work at a daycare so it will be free childcare and I’ll still be with my baby.
I’m just trying to figure out the numbers and whether or not it will be worth it financially but I’m having trouble finding any info.

And once I start back at work, even if just part time will I be required to pay into health insurance and pension again?

Any help is appreciated!

  1. Once you go back to work, even part time, childcare leave (and the payments) end. The point of it is to compensate for not working and taking on primary care duties. It’s also why you can’t feasibly enter hoikuen during that time as you lack the points in most places to be eligible.
