Century 21 as house builder? Alternatives?

Hi all,

Century 21 has really nice renderings of houses they can build in Tokyo, seems also they can build a house pretty fast. I have little understanding of quality of what you get as a result though and how the competition looks like, at least wrt. standardized quality houses (I’m not into customization / architect conversations at all, no time for any of this, ideally a new nice reasonable house would magically pop-up on the land I choose :)). Advice would be most appreciated.

Thank you!

This is how we get “My house is cold and drafty” complaints.

Make sure you get the insulation at the very least.

  2. look at local builders and reviews. if you “don’t have time” to look into one of the most important purchases you’ll ever make as an adult then pick a random company and hope for the best.

  3. I don’t have a house from Ichijo but I know a lot of extras are included in their base price. Triple glass, really well insulated and floor heating. These are all things you have to deal with yourself, or live without with a lot of other builders. If I build another house I’d probably go with them. Even though it turned out like we wanted, it was a real pain dealing with the architect and staying on top of everything with the builder we chose.
