Suzuki san wa kino Mary san ni keki o agemashita

Kino Suzuki san wa Mary san ni keki o agemashita

Which one is correct? Or is both correct? Or both wrong?

  1. The second one seems better, but please type in Japanese in the future-

    Oh and it’s not kino, it’s kinou きのう

  2. From what I understand (going through Tae Kim’s Guide to Learning Japanese) both of those sentences are correct because word order is pretty flexible in Japanese. As long as you get the verb at the end of the sentence and make sure the particles follow the correct words you’re good. Tae Kim confuses me a bit though.

    Also, if you’re on mobile you should look into a Japanese keyboard to start practicing the characters. It’s actually super easy on most phones.
