Nagoya or Tokyo?

Hello everyone! So I’m planning an 8-day trip in March and here are the places I want to visit: Ghibli theme park, Takayama and Shirakawa-go, Mt. Fuji, and other famous spots around Tokyo. I’ve decided that I’m going to enter in Nagoya but I’m thinking if my exit should be in Nagoya also or is it better if I’m going to exit in Tokyo? It is cheaper by around 7 USD only so what do you think?

I would also love to hear suggestions that I can add in my itinerary

  1. You’ll save $7 leaving from Nagoya, but spend at least $50 to get back to Nagoya. I think you can do the math.

  2. for the Ghibli park make sure you keep a big eye on the tickets. If they open it up for overseas sales by then I’m sure they will sell out fast. from the looks of it, they have been lottery for tickets until Jan and are actually selling tickets on first come first served basis for Feb on Nov 10th at 2pm (I’m assuming JST). So for march I would assume tickets will go on sale Dec 10th.

Then as for where to fly out of, if you plan on ending up in Tokyo, best to just fly out of there.
