* where to stay on Dec 3 ? more days in Kansai? Mt Fuji?

  1. If you wanted to reduce the number of times you change accommodation, Himeji can be easily visited as day trip from Osaka. Nara also makes a good day trip from Osaka or Kyoto, but I’d suggest staying overnight there as there’s a lot to see.

  2. Maximum 7days pass if you can return toward Tokyo by day 7, and right now you are not. Pretty sure 14 days pass would be more expensive than individual tickets.

    I would consider Fuji Q as a day trip from Tokyo, doing Nara-Kawaguchiko if far from ideal as it will be quite long.

    Your food budget is about 4x my food budget, that is more than enough.

  3. I’m now thinking, is it bad to stay 4 nights at a ryokan and the same one, with breakfast and dinner 4 times? Will I rather be free in the evenings after trying it twice? And eat different things

    Maybe I should change my reservation in the Kyoto ryokan to just 2 nights and then get another place – although I won’t appreciate checking in and out and carrying bags
