I’m here on a university exchange program and have a month break in February. I’m on a college student budget, so I can’t do any crazy traveling, and I was considering doing a workaway and volunteering on a farm somewhere in exchange for accommodation and food. Does anyone have experience doing this kind of work? Or do you have any better ideas of something that will let me travel a bit?

Can’t do a few days snowboarding?
Man, February’s kind of a crap time of year, it’s -cold-, which kinda rules out biking / hiking.
If I had a month completely on my own, I’d love to spend a couple of weeks at a sake brewery.
Not much farming in February.
Skii resort work? If you don’t have snow country gear though, might not be worth it.
