Anyone did furusato-nozei through e-tax?

Hello,

This is my first year doing Furusato nozei and I have already got the donation gifts from Rakuten.

I chose the option to do everything online through e-Tax (I think I will need to download a csv file for this), so I guess there is no way to switch back to having each municipality sending me the donation certificate or using the One-stop service.

My concern is that I have a middle name, and even though when filling out deliver address and “注文者情報” I have put my name exactly like on residence card (spaces and order), I noticed when checking back on the order information on Rakuten, there was no space between my middle name and first name in the “注文者情報”. Since e-Tax will be reading the csv file retrieved from Rakuten, will it be a problem if my name is not in full-width or missing spaces?

I have problems signing up for things before with my Rakuten credit card before because of this space, and it was settled with just a call, but for Furusato Nozei, will it be more tricky or straight out impossible to prove?

Thanks in advance!

Side note: I did freak out a bit and reviewed my address, however, the space was still there. Just when I go to the order screen, the space mysteriously disappear.

  1. The same happens to my name, and we have been participating in Furosato Nozei for the past several years with no problems. You should also check with your city about shopping coupons. My part of western Tokyo has a program where you buy a book of coupons worth 12,000 yen for 10,000 yen. A small discount for sure, but it helps local businesses and you save a little money.
