So every city I’ve lived in has had these ‘subway-like’ salad places where you go, choose your ingredients and they make you a salad to-go infront of you, just like a subway sandwich is done. It’s just a salad and you can choose between many ingredients so it’s a healthy option, and I’m struggling finding fast, healthy restaurants to eat at real quickly during a study break and stuff. So knowing about one In Tokyo (preferably shinjuku/shibuya area or just a chain) would save me!
Is there anything similar to what I mentioned anywhere in Tokyo? I feel like there should be something like that!

One of the beautiful things about Japan is that it’s easy to find healthy food choices. Why limit yourself to just salads? Salads can be great but depending on what you add they often end up packed with extra calories, sodium and sugar. Just find a restaurant that serves well-balanced meals; it’s often cheaper than fast food and they’re literally everywhere. Insisting on finding one specific type of place that isn’t particularly popular is just a headache.
There is a place called CRISP SALAD WORKS which has several locations in Tokyo. I’d just search for “salad” & your station & usually it will give you a salad place where you pick your ingredients.
Japan sucks for salads or vegetable-heavy meals.
One salad place I went to recently had explanatory signs that say like “the salad is the main dish” because I guess Japanese perception of salad is a bit of corn and cabbage along side some fatty fried garbage.
There are a few salad chains in the heart of Tokyo, mostly in the major areas. Crisp Salad Works is a good one but expensive.
