So I’m flying out to Japan on January 3rd to do language school. I just recently got my certificate of eligibility so now I have to go and get my actual visa. I live near NYC so I have to go through the japanese consulate in New York. You can either apply for a visa in person or by email, I prefer to go in person so I don’t have to mail my sensitive documents. Trouble is, they require appointments to go in person and they don’t have any appointments until December 20th. Is this enough time for the visa application to go through or should I just mail my stuff in?
