Hearing all these stories of abusive relationships and happy marriages and general distain for your spouse as well as pride about your spouse is quite sad. I understand that 99% of people on the internet are lying (source is from a thread about IT salaries in Japan around here), so I thought I’d double check.
Those *not* married – can we hear your stories?

“Single life is best life” – all my married colleagues and friends tell me that with a forced smile of shouganai sourness.
Not married yet, but thinking about it.
I’m happily married and we’ve been together for 8 years. No single fight . There are times where we feel stressed but never escalated in a fight or shouting. Of course you won’t hear much from people without trouble.
I have full control of my finances, can eat as much of the Domino’s pizza as I like, and enjoy the finest female company Aeon Town has to offer.
37 years and counting
I’m 19
Can’t. Gay marriage is not legal here.
Less drama, more money I guess…
I’m twice divorced.
Being in a relationship is fun for the first few months then I miss being single. But being single is also fun for the first few months then I miss being in a relationship. I can never win.
