I’m not a big fan of staring down at my smart phone, especially to read for a long-time. I like the app Smart News but can’t find anything like it that runs on a PC. Does anyone know of such a site?

If you’re reading in Japanese, there are a million news まとめ sites out there. Google a bit and find the one that you like.
If you’re reading in English, the English version of Smart News seems to have a web version.
On feedly.com you can put together your own news stream from lots of news sources and categorise it to your liking. They also have an app for if you’re on the go.
