I just started learning numbers in Japanese today and I am a bit confused. I tried looking this up but I have had no luck and hopefully someone can help me out.
I am learning the Kanji and Hiragana for the numbers 1 through 10 right now. The Kanji for 1 is 一 and the Hiragana is いち. I’m trying to find the right pronunciation for the Kanji. Is it the same as saying the Hiragana or is it different? I’m getting mixed answers online. Is it the same for the rest through 10 or different?
If someone has a good source I can save that would be helpful too. Thanks!

The simple answer is: Yes, 一 is pronounced いち (ichi).
The real answer is: [Japanese numbers are very complicated.](https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/counting-in-japanese/)
Kanji can be pronounced multiple ways.
