Hello friends, I’m from Chile and I’m thinking about to go to Tokyo to do a Working Holiday next year.
I currently have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and also can perform as a Bartender.
I would like to know about the salary wages of bartenders in tokyo.
And the how are the salary wages for chemists?

On a working holiday visa you’re not allowed to work in bars.
https://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/w_holiday/index.html
“The working holiday participants are strictly prohibited from working at bars, cabarets, nightclubs, gambling establishments and other premises affecting public morals in Japan.”
In restaurants you can expect to earn a bit over minimum wage. Check out TownWork. https://townwork.net/tokyo/
From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“The working holiday participants are strictly prohibited from working at bars, cabarets, nightclubs, gambling establishments and other premises affecting public morals in Japan.”
You can get 1300-1500 an hour in Niseko
Its terrible. Bartenders are not well compensated, and this is not a tipping country.
Edit: I should add that you can make decent money bartending if a company is specifically paying for you to come over and manage a bar/write its menu. But the downfall of the yen is putting this at a lower value than it once would have been.
Not so good, BSc Chemist with 1 YOE, make around 5M annual
