Hey y’all,
As classes are soon to enter their next exam (At least mine is in like two weeks, jeez.) I’ve begun to plan for a few things I would like to do in the summer to end my time in Japan on a good note. And it got me thinking that I could pull some inspiration from my fellow returners. So…
Whether it’s to eat, do, go, see, what are your plans for this summer?

Good month in Okinawa and visiting family
To be honest, I’ve been here for six years so there’s nothing I’m really desperate to do. My idea of leaving on a good note is just being mindful to appreciate the day to day things that will change once I go home and just enjoying time in my city with the people I actually care about lol
My goal is to not fall apart before the day arrives, tbh. Since I’m a third year, my visa expires on the same exact day as my contract ends, so I have to save up nenkyuu for the week I leave so don’t really have anything I can do. Even have to use nenkyuu for the days I travel home since I have to be out before my visa expires. Which is annoying.
Since I’m staying in Japan but changing locations & jobs, I guess just trying not to get fed up with the job this last month lol. It’s difficult since I can’t stand the hot & humid weather starting this time of year. Found myself cursing the weather while I was walking back to my base school today.
As I am staying in the same city transferring to a new (SOFA) job, I am busy running around doing paperwork to satisfy Uncle Sam and looking for a new apartment.
The same thing we do every summer Pinky, try to take over the world!
It’s always been on my bucket list so I’m scheduled to climb Mt. Fuji in 3 weeks, if the weather allows! 🤞🏼
