Hi there,
My father’s health is declining rapidly and doctors told my mom I should visit asap.
As such, I am booking a flight right now but I want to know if I need a PCR test for departure or for the Japanese airport (my home country doesn’t require PCR for arrivals anymore.
I am sorry as I can’t really process the information on the airports’ websites, so if anybody knows that would be very helpful!

Departures dont require pcr test. Source: i flew 2 days ago
Not required unless the home country requires, which you said it does not.
Just remember from whichever country you are leaving, whether you need a test or not to get on the plane depends on the destination country not the country you’re leaving

Which country are you traveling to? On the Japan departure side, you don’t need a test to board the plane (but you will for your Japan-bound return flight).

However if your father is in rapidly declining health, I would get one anyway.
Seems to be a question like this every day. Are you unable to call the airline? They have English help if you don’t speak Japanese
