Best Purikura booths for foreigners or couples

I love photo booths, but some are more flattering to foreigners’ faces (white, in my case) than others. I want to still look like myself at the end, and be able to turn off the lipstick and eyeshadow features if possible. I like some of the exaggerated figures but sometimes my nose is just…. not there haha

I’d love to get some with my boyfriend, but until I find one with minimal effects, he is not going to cooperate.

Any purikura brand thats in a large city is fair game to me.

I’m fine handling the directions in japanese usually, but there are so many brands of purikura, I’d love to cut out at least the most extreme ones

thanks in advance!

  1. Is that still I thing? I need to call up my friends so we can party like it’s the early 2000s. Then I need to make sure I know everyone’s メアドand we can share the pics by sending everyone a 写メ

I’ll stick it to my phone and hang a cute little charm from the notch like the good old days.

  2. I think those things are slowly dying.. maybe around Shibuya or Shinjuku still in game parlours?

  3. Most arcades/game centres will have them.

They have a rule where there must a female present because groups of guys can’t be trusted to behave themselves apparently.

  4. I haven’t seen one in ages that didn’t turn me into some kind of alien.

My eyeballs end up being a full third of my head.
