Spaced repitition apps that let you write hiragana, katakana and kanji

Hi all,

I have previously studied Chinese with traditional characters. I found the Android app Tofu learn really useful, because the app let me flashcard for characters by writing them which really helped me practise not only to recognise characters but to write them too.

However this app does not support the same functionality for Japanese. 🙁

Does anyone know of a free app that will allow me to practice writing phrases and words in Japanese? I find this is the best way to study characters.

  1. Ankidroid has a card type that you can use to draw and then compare your drawing to the next slide. (different than the whiteboard thing mentioned by JoudanDesu, which is finicky)

[Here is a bad picture example](https://www.tumblr.com/monniebiloney/627215946403184641/httpsdrivegooglecomdrivefolders1xcfvpse68bt) (the link no longer has that note type as I stopped using it, but if you need help, I can get you a different Anki deck that has the drawing note type)
