   Japan, Singapore and South Korea have the most powerful passports as the world continues to recover from Covid-19, reversing pre-pandemic rankings that were dominated by European nations.

   A Japanese passport provides hassle-free entry to 193 countries, one more than those from Singapore and South Korea, according to the latest Henley Passport Index from Henley & Partners, an immigration consultancy.

2. Interesting post. Just wonder why the writer of the article decides on the word “powerful”. How can a wad of travel papers be powerful anyway? Also, I’m sure this will infuriate holders of “weaker” passports because of national pride. Or on the other side of spectrum you’ll have simple-minded readers thinking, “Yes, my country is powerful”just because their country has a high passport ranking. There’s enough jealously and resentment going on in the world today, don’t need more because of irresponsible use of language. The title feels like it was written by a bot.

   Why can’t we just go with “convenient” or “travel-friendly” or even “best” is a better option. I would even maybe prefer “strong” because it collocates.

   Edit: for all you people who bothered to downvote, hope you enjoy wielding your “powerful passports” lol (sounds lame as hell)

3. Because right now Japanese passport holders can enter other countries as a tourist but tourists from other countries can’t enter Japan .

4. Shouldn’t that include if vaccinated?
   What if the person has a Japanese passport and is not vaccinated?

5. Lmao, passports from European Union countries allow its holder to live and work in all European Union countries without restrictions and also enter in at least 180 countries.
   That’s far more “”powerful””

6. Ironic that Japan is the most powerful and they won’t let anybody in. Maybe other countries should stop letting Japanese people in and ruin their powerful passports
