Does anyone know how to meet mom friends (Japanese or foreign, I speak Japanese)? Like is there an app or something for that? My son and I go to parks but the moms are either older and avoid me (maybe assuming I won’t speak Japanese) or have kids too much older or younger than my son. I live in a really small town (like one of the smallest in Hyogo) and there’s not really mom events or much to do here.

I’m having trouble linking my Rakuten Card to my Sony bank account. It seems like the error pops up for a lot of banks on the site. Does anyone know a work around?
my American driver’s license is up for renewal next year, and I would have to do it in person (10 years have passed, don’t have a Real ID, etc), so I am considering making the trip just to renew it, as stupid as it sounds to me. I don’t plan on returning to the US ever if I can help it, so is it really worth keeping? is there ever a situation where having one would be beneficial, aside from the odd trip back?
(I’m also from a state that taxes foreign income, and I’m pretty sure having a valid DL from there would be just another thing they’d try to use as proof of residency to keep on taxing me.)
For the Americans: when writing your address on federal forms, on one line it asks for street address/apt no/PO box, next line is city, then state/foreign country, then zip code. Is it state or foreign country? Or just foreign country?
I did Furusato Nozei and donated to 6 different places. The only thing I need to do to finish this transaction and get tax credit is to take all of my receipts down to the tax office in a few months, right?
1. is there any downside to furusato nozei or is it pure benefit?
2. when do you have to complete it by?
A j-lifer on yesterday’s thread talked abt remitting at least 380k per dependent to receive tax exemptions. Is it applicable to this year’s 年末調整or it’ll start next year?
