History books in Japanese

I passed N1 a while back and while I wouldn’t call myself fluent by any means, I can definitely read well. That being said I’d like to read about Japanese history in Japanese, and I’d specifically like it if the book itself is of historic value, sort of like if I learned Greek history by reading Herodotus or Roman history by reading Gibbon. Any suggestions?

While nothing could touch Naito/Ospreay for MOTN (MOTY?), FTR v. Cobb/O-Khan was terrific: big match feel, pitch-perfect psychology. The reverence FTR hold for the IWGP belts and finally getting to perform in front of Japanese fans was palpable, and the fans in attendance responded in kind.

I had an Instagram Live with a Japanese person for the first time. When she accepted the collab request, she was expecting it to be a Japanese person, but she was surprised when it was a foreigner. Even more so when I started speaking Japanese.
