Questionnaire for eikaiwa teachers (Pt. 2)


Hello eikaiwa teachers!

First of all, thank you so much to those of you who completed my [questionnaire in November](https://www.reddit.com/r/teachinginjapan/comments/qksvvk/questionnaire_for_eikaiwa_teachers_only/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). I got a lot of great responses and I really appreciate your time.

I have modified my questionnaire and would like to invite *all current eikaiwa teachers* to participate, even if you completed the earlier version. The questionnaire takes around 10-12 minutes and does not ask for any identifying information. I am so grateful for this community and its support for MA students collecting data. There is not a lot of research on eikaiwa, and there have been very few studies exploring eikaiwa teachers’ experiences. I hope to better understand working conditions for teachers which will hopefully help improve eikaiwa workplaces. Thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute!

    A lot of people are going to put full-time even though 29.5 hours is legally part-time, because their office says they’re ‘full-time’.

    >Since the start of the pandemic, how have you delivered your lessons?

    There’s no option for hybrid here so I assume I should just put half-half.

  2. Stupid question, perhaps : why are you focusing to English language teachers ?

    Do not know if you could gather lot of reply from teachers from other language but perhaps it could be interesting to see if there was difference or not.
