When Kishi helped bring the UC into Japan, half of the current LDP’s grandfathers, fathers, and uncles were also MPs. The links are vast and multi generational and it makes you wonder just exactly how each generation managed to get into the same best schools, and then get funding for election campaigns, and then ministerial positions etc. I wonder if we’ll start to hear of links between the UC and top schools and universities. I wouldn’t be surprised.
The UC weren’t just funding the LDP, they were making sure it was always well stocked and top heavy with certain families.
…and how long is it going to take until other institutions with historical ‘close ties’ to the LDP are linked to the UC?
