Has anyone used Google Pay created in Japan while overseas?

I plan to visit the States soon, and was wondering if I can use Google Pay there. I thought it might be easier is all rather than taking my card everywhere. I also want to use my JCB card for miles.
But once I set it up, it needed KetiaiSaifu or whatever it is called enabled, and the Google Pay app says it can be used wherever the QuicPay logo is. So it seems quite limited?
I dunno, maybe I will just use my card wherever I can.

Any of you all have experience?
