I came to nagoya for one month because of my work, and i have visited the nagoya castle and the public aquarium although it was closed when i went there, are there any nagoyans/nagoyanese that could tell me what I shouldn’t miss? 😃
Endoji, Shikemichi, and Osu are really nice and worth exploring. There are also plenty of bars, clubs, and major department stores around the Sakae area.
Shinkansen museum
Legoland Ghibli park
Maid cafes!
I think the only good thing to do in Nagoya is take the train to Magome and walk to Tsumago.
I loved Osu Shotengai while I was living there, lots of quirky shops and good places to eat.
Some nice parks, too— autumn leaves probably looking good about now. Higashiyama Botanical Garden was my favourite, it’s vast and I could spend hours there. If traditional Japanese gardens is your thing, then Shirotori or Tokugawa Gardens are great.
