Is 戏 a Japanese kanji?

It seems to translate to Game or play but I’ve been told it’s actually a Chinese kanji and not used in Japanese.

  1. Traditional Chinese hanzi/Japanese kyujitai: 戲

    Simplified Chinese hanzi: 戏

    Japanese shinjitai: 戯

Variant form(which the shinjitai is simplified from): 戱

  2. All Chinese Characters are technically available for use to all CJKV Languages,

but practically speaking 戏 is the Simplified Chinese form, while 戯 is the Japanese Shinjitai form

戲 would be the Traditional Chinese/Japanese Kyujitai form
