Omiyage/Gift Giving “Script”

Hello! I know that there is a practice of “omiyage”/etiquette to gift-giving in Japan, and that there are certain social “rules” to follow in these situations–i. e., insisting on refusing 2-ish times before accepting the gift.

I’d love it if I could get some help with an exact “script” to follow in these situations. It would also be a great help if the script was as clear and exact as possible (autism, haha) so I can make sure to follow the rules properly and hit all the points I need to in order to be polite and respectful while giving gifts.

Thank you in advance!

  1. just be yourself. if you’re not Japanese, people aren’t expecting you to know/do all that, anyway
