Itinerary Check – Tokyo and Kyushu

Booked a spur of the moment trip to Japan, and would love to get some thoughts / feedback (considering I’m flying out in 10 days!)

I’ve been to Japan a few times before – the Tokyo leg will mostly be me shopping / wandering around / meeting up with friends, so I’ll skip that. I love coffee, so if you have any recommendations for coffee shops, that would be great.

I’ll be doing the Kyushu leg alone, so would love insight for that, especially for the Takachiho Gorge / Mt Aso part (no car, no group). I haven’t been able to find a group tour, unfortunately – only pretty expensive private ones that depart from inconvenient locations. I’m not looking to pack my schedule with so many things to do, so just want to confirm that everything I’m doing sounds reasonable and I’m hitting the highlights of the areas.
