ANOTHER internet question.

Hey guys, I made a post a few days ago asking which one to contact to have our internet connection moved since we were moving and today we finally moved. I tried to contact Softbank through phone but they just ended up sending me to their website, so I just went to MySoftbank page and did the お引越しのお手続き, which made me fill up a bunch of forms, the website told me the earliest they could install the internet on the new apartment was on the 25th of this month.

In our new apartment, I saw one of those things in the wall with the 光 sign just like in our old apartment so I got curious if I could just plug in the black NTT box and our router and immediately get internet connection, and it worked. I went to the router gateway and logged in my credentials and now I have internet. Is it supposed to be like this or did the previous tenant not cancel their internet connection?

  1. Call Softbank and let them know. It sounds like you tried to set-up a new installation when all you needed to do was to set-up activation at a new address where service was already available.
