• Concerns:
– clothing wise coming from a tropical country and generally not fairing well with 26 deg C below. any tips? TIA!
– would it be preferrable to keep topping up our Suica/Passmo or get the unlimited passes for the trains?

  1. Day 2, the order is a bit wrong, stores in Takeshita street won’t open before 10-11am, while Meiji-jingu does open much sooner than that, Shinjuku Gyoen is an other good option as it open at 9.

The usual Mout Fuji trip to see it would be Kawaguchiko or Hakone.

For clothing, the usual trick is to layer, like t-shirt, something with long sleeve (and warm), then a coat. Then you can adjust the number of layers you wear depending on if you feel cold or hot.

There is no magical unlimited pass for the train. Yes, there is various pass offered by JR or the subway, etc. While you can calculate daily use and decide to get some of these tickets, like the 21-48-72 hours subway ticket, problem is, nothing will het you everywhere.

You will use Keisei to/from the airport, JR to Yokohama, Tokyo Metro out of Asakusa, Keio or Odakyu to Puroland… so you will have a mix on many different train company and no pass cover all company. At the end, what might be the easiest is just to use you IC card.
