I am in Tokyo right now and have been searching for a roasted sweet potato food truck or vendor. Is it still too early? I know finding one may be like a needle in a haystack, but does anyone have a reliable spot/area I could maybe try and find one? i was in Ueno today and was hoping they would have one at the food stalls set up at Shinobazu but I didn’t see one.

Go to a supermarket or donki store if you want sweet potatoes.
And yes, it’s still a bit too early because the leaves haven’t turned, so people aren’t out in droves looking at them.
I think there’s one next to the Akasaka-Mitsuke station. It was guy out the back of his truck roasting potatoes over a wood fire near our hotel
