Are these sentences grammatically correct?

さくら: こんにちは、わたし は さくら です。
はやし: さくらさん こんにちは、はやし です。
さくら: あなた は 日本語 の 学生 ですか。
はやし: はい、そうです。

  1. People do not greet each other with konnichiha and introduce themselves like that.

    Maybe replace it with はじめまして instead.

    And then she would not say anata after hearing his name. It would be はやしさんは日本語の学生…

    It’s nuance things and yes you are technically correct grammatically but I say watch out for this early so you don’t make mistakes like this. I always see foreigners start messages online with words like konnichiha but in truth it’s not used all that often and not used exactly like hello. And using anata when knowing their name is kinda rude. So good luck!!!

  2. Looks correct. Small style note: instead of あなたは reply with the person’s name, はやしさんは to be a bit more polite
