So my supposed salary I’ll be earning is 240,000 yen per month.
But I know there’s going to deductions ( tax, pension , others(?)).
If possible I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate how much money I’ll have after taxes? From what I heard, the tax calculator online are inaccurate. I have no idea who or where to ask for this type of information.
For context: I’ll be living in Fukuoka. My work place is in Hakata. I found a nice 1K around nakasukawabuta. But a bit expensive. Another place (2DK) near Tojinmachi station, older, bigger building. Afraid that I can’t afford the 1K.

Just a guess, but I think you can expect 60,000-70,000 in deductions. Health insurance, pension and local tax factored in.
If you are enrolled in “Shakai Hoken”, these are some of the deductions that you can expect:
a) Health insurance (# half of 9.9%): 11,880円
b) Nursing insurance (if you are age 40 and above; # half of 1.73%): 2,076円
c) Pension (# half of 18.3%): 21,960
d) Unemployment insurance (0.3%): 720円
e) Income tax withholding: ~6,245円
Total deductions: ~42,881円
You would also need to set aside about ~24,000円 each month, to pay for your residence tax next year, which is about 10% of your income from this year.
That should leave you with about ~173,119円 each month. These numbers are based on Tokyo. It’ll probably be a little different for Fukuoka, but it shouldn’t vary by too much.
(#) The other half is paid by your employer.
