  1. Is there some verb conjugation that ends with se? Just saw this verb “回せ”, and I don’t really know if it is an abbreviation.

  2. Having some trouble with this:

    > アイルーだけでもモンスターを倒せるんだという実証をだな…

Context: In this book, アイルー are some silly “Islander” cats who want to defeat monsters. But they never did that before.

I’m having some trouble with 実証をだな. Like, what verb even is that?

The rest might be: Actual proof that mere islanders can defeat monsters [something]

  3. From N4 Tango deck:

    この大根はとても太いです。

I thought, “That’s what she said.” And marked it “Easy”.

Then I wondered how to say it in Japanese, and mangled / translated it in my head, before checking Google Translate:

    それは彼女が言ったことです。

Does that work? Does it carry the innuendo? Is it even a joke in Japanese?

  4. If one can say “これは僕のだ。”, can one then also say “これは僕のになる。” or is “僕のものになる。” required?, and what about, say, “おもしれー女。君を僕のにする。”?

  5. **There is a conversation between 3 Knights, after they’ve been ordered by the Prince to attack a noble’s family and capture a girl, if she did not surrender and go with the Knights to the Royal Palace, so she can become the new queen for the Prince.**
**Hope someone can help me understand correctly a sentence :「いきなりそれは……手荒いのう」(my guess is “If we suddenly attack her family …i feel that’s too rough/violent (?)” but i’m not sure since this character seemed to be speaking with a dialect ?)**

    More context:
The young Captain of the Knight’s Order「交渉は決裂するだろう」
    Captain「一刻後、奴らが投降しない時は……」
    Captain「レオン王子の命において、L 家を急襲する」
    Everyone「!?」
    **Old Knight「いきなりそれは……手荒いのう」**
    Captain「ナッシュ、お前が先陣を切れ」
