Hi everyone! Are there any incoming or current ALTs here from Canada who have tried sending a cargo box from Canada to Japan? Which shipping company did you use and how much was the fee?
A family is planning to send me a box of things I can use for my apartment once I get to Japan, but she has no idea what shipping company to use.

Are these just regular household things? Because it’d probably just be easier to get that stuff in Japan. If these aren’t sentimental personal items, I’d ask if they’d consider giving you some money to buy stuff there.

Honestly- not worth it. There is no cheap or fast option that costs less than thousands of dollars. Save the shipping money and buy new things when you arrive. Also- your pred. may have many things for you to take as is.
My biggest regret is all the useless stuff I brought and how much I paid to do so.
