And filmmaking equipment stores in the Tokyo area?

Looking for stores that sell gear related specifically to filmmaking. Things like cinema cameras, gimbals, lighting, mics, sound recorders, gaffers tape, etc…

I know the yodobashi camera in Shinjuku has a little section with some filmmaking related gear, but it’s still pretty limited.

  1. There’s a few shops in Nakano Broadway and the alleyways in front of it, but definitely tech-focused. Not sure about gaffers tape, for example

  2. I think you’ll have the most luck finding it online, particularly if you’re willing to buy used – loads of gimbals on Yahoo auctions.

  4. I’ve bought things from Videkin before. Their main HQ is Kyoto, but they have a showroom in Shinjuku with some advanced gear there.
