Hi everyone,
Im going to be travelling around hokkaido early Jan, and one stop I really want to make is in Kushiro to see the cranes.
Im going to be travelling by train, and I have read that the public transport around that area is limited. Im struggling to work out a good way to get around the area. Does anyone have any experience with the area that can give me some advice?

I will be there for 1 full day (staying the previous night and the night of). Im hoping to get up early to see the cranes at otawa, as well as see the other observation areas and feeding grounds. Im also keen to have a look around the wetlands in general as well.
Any help would be appreciated!

I hate to disappoint you, but crane watching around Kushiro Shitsugen is early to mid February to late March activity.
