I’m currently in the process of applying for a PR.
Due to a tumultuous marriage, my wife will not be my guarantor. It does however state on the website that the wife is “usually” the guarantor, which implies she does not to be. Also, I have a friend who is willing to be one in her stead.
Has anyone else had any experiences with this kind of situation, and what was the outcome?

Do you have any PR friends? I works the same way.
It’s somewhere deep in my post history but someone else confirmed that it doesn’t need to be your spouse.
Before I realized I had nenkin issues I was going to try this and immigration basically said ya you can do this.
