I sold a camera on mercari.. and it was bought by someone who has sold that same model of camera a year ago.
Is this some kind of scam?
Why would someone buy a camera again (same model and lenses) when they just sold it for the same price a year ago?
Bf says it is fine and I should trust mercari.
I am skeptical.

Could be that they were in financial trouble and had to sell some of their stuff temporarily or just a reseller who tries to make a good deal. But with only 4 transactions kind of doubt it. Could also imagine some school club account buying their gear.
I’ve been buying same thing on yahoo auctions for the last decade whenever it pops up for sale.
Sometimes I’ve sold things on Mercari and really regretted it, then have saved searches and purchased the same item again. Glad to know I’m not alone in this lol
Maybe he will try to resell at a higher price. I’ve seen this happen before
I buy books on Mercari and then sell them again Mercari after I’ve finished with them.
Maybe they are into trading camera equipment? Although not a great to m time to be buying right now, I think.a camera I bought 3 years ago is which is going for 40% more now (new).
