Anyone know where I can buy DRM-free ePUBs?

I bought this [book](https://booklive.jp/product/index/title_id/203815/vol_no/001) and wanted to load it into [this](https://ttu-ebook.web.app/) so I could use Yomi-chan but I didn’t realize it was locked to the BookLive platform. You can only use their browser reader or app. And according to other users even if you get the ePUB, it’s got DRM. Luckily it was only 341 yen thanks to a coupon. Is there a good store for DRM-free eBooks? I know about Aozora and itazuraneko but those sites generally don’t have newer stuff.

  1. As far as I’m aware, Calibre can strip DRM with a special plugin. Maybe see if that can work on your BookLive EPUBs.

  2. Honestly, the most comfortable way is probably getting “free” copies, but also buying a legit copy. You’re buying a copy to support authors, but using the other copy because DRM sucks.

zlib is a pretty nice source. Sadly, it ran into some issues recently, but it is still accessible through some advanced means. I suggest searching around a bit.
